I participated in the knitalong wrapalong travelalong . It's a pretty pattern from cafemama, for a wrap. It was fun, although cables aren't really my favorite. I have trouble paying attention! The pin is one I made. I couldn't decide on a button. And it's not like I don't have enough of them to choose from!

John 21:15
I entered this piece in an art show yesterday. My friend Nancy and I both brought pieces to this show . The piece is made from vintage silk tulle, embroidered with thrifted thread, a silk remnant (that was silk screened), a cigar box and vintage buttons.
Mom's earrings.
I just gave these earrings to my Mom for her birthday. Thrifted thread and vintage embellishments.
I've been making pins and earrings out of vintage and recycled materials. The thread is thrifted, and then I sew out the lace on my embroidery machine. It's embellished with vintage buttons and beads. I love making these. See more at www.twentyninethousand.com .

I just found this book on Amazon: 52 Projects: Random Acts of Everyday Creativity (Perigee Book). Doesn't it look like fun? Has anyone read it? In the same vein, there are some fun ideas at this site for getting the creative juices flowing.

Socks 101
For my first post on this blog, and my first post of 2007, Here is a link to my first ever knit-along: stitch marker: warmest wishes...and socks . I am knitting these in Manos in a color called mulberry. They are very fun to make, and go quickly... unlike some other socks I have met.
